This is one of my favorites Afghan restaurant, unfortunately they have changed their famous chapli Kabob. :(
This message is for the owner, please bring your old chef or keep the same recipe especially for your chapli kabob. Look at my picture and the previous review pictures, you will notice, the color, texture and believe me the taste is not the same :(
My daughter and I are regulars here. The staff is incredibly kind and courteous, and the kitchen workers are as well. My daughter personally loves the Chicken Kabob plate, and I'll usual alternate between the triple kabob plate, or the potato Bolani depending on how hungry I am. I suggest trying some yogurt mixed with your white or brown rice. Delicious. If you're vegetarian I would suggest the eggplant dish known as "Burani Bonjon" delicious with afghan bread.
DeAghanan Cuisine is an exquisite spot with great drinks, appetizers, and food at a modest price. Plenty of parking in the back as well and good for folks who just like rice and meat.
I ordered the "Quabili Pallow." Which had lamb meat that slid right off the bone and just like the description mentioned, it was buried in rice, carrots, and raisins. All the appetizers were spot on, but my favorite was the "Polani," which is like a green onion pancake.
Our service was friendly, they gave us time to choose our order, add-on or adjust rice options if needed as well. I would come back for their "Quabili Pallow". Tasty, large portions at a moderate price.
I really look forward to eating DeAfghanan. The ambience is nice and this was my first time dining in a few years (I ordered takeout during the pandemic).
The boneless lamb kabobs were pretty good. Maybe it's more my tastes, though I find the rice a touch on the bland side so I mix in the chutney sauce. I suppose I added a lot because the waiter noted how empty the container was.
First time I have been an Afghanan restaurant. I loved it, delicious food.
Yogurt drink was fresh and really good.
First time here. I will definitely come back! Food tastes fresh and delicious. And enough for another meal. I’ve only had bolani from Costco and farmers market. This is so large and stuffed!
This restaurant gets very busy on the weekends and doesn’t take any reservations.
I came with a party of 10 on a busy Saturday night and was told the wait would be 25 minutes, which I found hard to believe since the restaurant is small and all the table were full.
The wait came to over one hour.
No complaints about the food, it’s fresh, made to order, nice portions, and everything is delicious.
They forgot one of my drink orders which they removed from my bill after I let them know.
15% automatic service fee for parties over 5 which I think is really fare. Also $1 charge for credit card use
Pros: Food is very flavorful. The grilled kebabs are tender and we'll seasoned.
Cons: The Chaplee is WAY too spicy. Eat at your own risk. Lastly, the staff, although they seem to be trying their best, lack organization and management.
If you're not in a rush, this place is great.
